Our Mission at Scrappy Cat

Providing Fresh Produce

At Scrappy Cat, our mission is to provide the freshest, most delicious produce to our customers. We believe that everyone should have access to healthy, nutritious food, and we are committed to making that a reality.

Sustainable Farming

We believe that sustainable farming practices are essential for the health of our planet and our customers. That's why we use natural fertilizers, crop rotation, and other sustainable practices to grow our produce.

Supporting Local Communities

We are proud to be a part of the local community and support local initiatives. We work with local food pantry's to donate excess produce and food, to reduce waste and support our community. Proudly using seeds from Snake River Seed Cooperative.

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, a model where consumers buy shares of a farm's harvest in advance to help cover production costs. In exchange, CSA members receive a regular share of the farm's produce during the growing season. CSAs offer a number of benefits to both consumers and farmers, including:

  • Local food: CSA members get a steady supply of fresh, in-season produce.
  • Support local farmers: CSA members directly support local farmers and strengthen local economies.
  • Know your farmer: CSA members can learn about their farmer's practices and often have a direct line of communication with them.
  • Farm community: CSA members can join a farm community to share in the experience of growing and eating farm-fresh food.
  • Financial security: CSA arrangements provide financial security for farmers and can result in lower prices for consumers.
  • Healthy diet: CSA members can eat locally grown, freshly harvested food, which is recommended by health-care professionals.

CSA members typically pay an annual fee to become a member, which can range from $400–$700. The cost depends on the length of the harvest season and the variety and quantity of products provided.
